Privacy Policy

Information Obligation Statement

The protection of your personal data is especially important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (GDPR, TKG 2003). In this privacy statement, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing on our website.

Contacting Us

If you contact us via the form on the website or by email, the data you provide will be stored by us for six months for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

Data Storage

Please note that, for the purpose of simplifying the purchasing process, for marketing purposes, and for later contract processing, the webshop operator stores the IP data of the connection holder via cookies, as well as the buyer’s name, address, and credit card number. Additionally, your data will also be stored by us for the purpose of contract processing. The data you provide is necessary for contract fulfillment and for pre-contractual measures. Without this data, we cannot conclude the contract with you.

Data will not be transferred to third parties, except for the transfer of necessary payment data to the processing banking institutions/payment service providers for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport/shipping company commissioned by us for the delivery of the goods, for internal processing purposes in organization/administration, and to our tax advisor to fulfill our tax obligations.

In the event of a contract being concluded, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored at least until the expiration of the statutory retention period (7 years). The data – name, address, purchased goods, and purchase date – will also be stored for at least the duration of product liability (10 years). Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para 3 TKG and Art 6 para 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for contract performance) of the GDPR.

Use of Web Fonts

External fonts, Google Fonts, are used on these websites. Google Fonts is a service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). The integration of these web fonts is done via a server call, usually to a Google server in the USA. This transmits to the server which of our websites you have visited. Google also stores the IP address of the browser used on the visitor’s device. You can find more information in Google's privacy policy, available at: google.com/fonts and google.com/policies/privacy.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device with the help of your browser. They do no harm. We use cookies to make our offer more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser during your next visit. If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser to inform you about the use of cookies and allow this only in individual cases. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

We use the Facebook Conversion API on our site. This sends data such as email address, name, address, etc., that the user provides on our site, directly to Facebook. This helps us tailor our offering to the user. We implement the Facebook Conversion API using the WordPress plugin PixelYourSite (https://www.pixelyoursite.com/).

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics also uses cookies to analyze how visitors use our website. The information generated by these cookies about your use of our website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for us, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above. For more information about the technology used by Google, visit www.google.com/analytics.

Use of Google Remarketing

We also use Google's remarketing function. This allows us to display personalized advertising to you on appropriate advertising spaces on other websites, based on the interests you have shown on our website. This feature is limited to a maximum of 18 months. You can find more information in Google's privacy policy. You can disable interest-based advertising by installing this browser plugin.

YouTube

We provide a number of educational videos on our websites, which are also published on YouTube. Like most websites, YouTube uses cookies to collect information about viewers of the videos. YouTube uses cookies to gather reliable video statistics, prevent fraud, and improve user experience. For more details about YouTube’s use of cookies, refer to YouTube’s privacy policy.

Facebook

We use plug-ins from the social network Facebook on our websites, which is operated by Facebook Inc. (“Facebook”). When you visit one of our web pages that includes such a plug-in, your browser connects directly to Facebook’s servers, and the plug-in is displayed on the webpage through communication with your browser. This informs Facebook which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged into your Facebook account while visiting our website, Facebook can associate your visit with your personal Facebook profile. When you use the plug-in features (such as clicking the "Like" button or leaving a comment), this information is also linked to your Facebook user account — unless you log out before using the plug-in.

For more information on how Facebook collects and uses data, your rights in this regard, and how to protect your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy.

Web Analytics

Our website uses functions from the following web analytics services (within the EU):

KLICK-TIPP Ltd., Digistore24 GmbH, ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, and Webinaris GmbH, as well as from the following web analytics services (outside the EU): Google Analytics, Leadpages and Drip Inc., Facebook Inc., YouTube, LLC, Twitter Inc., ManyChat, Inc., Proof Technologies, LLC, Automattic Inc., NetDNA, LLC, HostGator.com LLC, Wizard Internet Solutions, Nexmo Inc., Zendesk, Inc., and Webmayhem, Inc.

Cookies are used, which enable an analysis of how users interact with the website. The information generated is transmitted to the provider's server and stored there. You can prevent this by configuring your browser to not store cookies.

The relationship with the analytics providers is based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (e.g., for the USA: “Privacy Shield”).

Our legitimate interest under the GDPR is to improve our offering and our online presence. User data is stored for a specific period depending on the provider.

Data Processing on Behalf

We have entered into data processing agreements with each of the providers. This ensures that our service providers comply fully with data protection regulations when handling newsletter dispatch. It also ensures that your data is stored only within the EU under a high level of data protection.

Data processing is based on the legal provisions of § 96 para 3 TKG and Art 6 para 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR.

Newsletter

You have the option to subscribe to our newsletter via our website. To do so, we require your email address and confirmation that you agree to receive the newsletter.

To provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process additional data you provide voluntarily, such as name, interests, birthday, postal code, etc.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with a single click in any email.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, transfer, revoke, and object to the processing of your data.

If you believe that your data is being processed in violation of data protection law or that your rights under data protection law have otherwise been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.
You can reach us via the contact details or the contact form mentioned above. Please note that these rights may be subject to conditions which we will require to be met.

How else do we use your data?

We may occasionally inform you about our services at regular or irregular intervals. This is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, which permits processing for legitimate interests unless overridden by your interests.

Our legitimate interest is derived from Recital 47 of the GDPR, which states: “The processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes may be regarded as carried out for a legitimate interest.”

Since you voluntarily provided us with your email, contacting you for promotional purposes is within our legitimate interest.

You may object to the use of your data for promotional purposes at any time by informal communication to the above-mentioned contact details (“Who are we?”) or by using an available unsubscribe link.

Once you object, we will stop processing your data for these purposes. If there is no further reason for retention, we will delete the data.

In this context, we also remind you that you may object at any time to the use of your personal data for advertising, market research, or opinion research — by informal notice through one of the contact channels mentioned above.
